Report for Fundraising Tournament 9th May 2019 For Halberg Foundation
Player numbers were down a little on last year, however 108 players enjoyed the Denby course, which was presented in excellent condition. Despite early predictions the day was fine. Northland Eagles enjoyed the support of golfers from almost all the Northland clubs.
Reese Edwards represented the Halberg Trust. Our National Secretary, Jeremy Ballantyne and wife Pam, attended on behalf of the Eagles Golfing Society of New Zealand.
We appreciate this support for what is our major event of the year.
Thanks again to the Whangarei Golf Club for providing the venue. And to all staff who made for an easy and enjoyable day. Thanks to the Hikurangi ‘Aunties’ for the half time beer and burgers. Thanks to all sponsors, contributors and supporters. And a special thank you to Eagle Ian Simpson for his huge effort gaining sponsorship / prizes from the Bay of Islands area.
Money raised for the Halberg Disability Sports Foundation came to $6000.
